He was a long-time rector of the nearby parish of Holy Cross in Górczyn, the initiator of construction of the church and establishment of the parish of Holy Family. The initiative for naming the parish was put forward in May 2008 by an auxiliary unit of the City of Poznań - the Kopernika-Raszyn Estate Council. It was supported by the Metropolitan Curia in Poznan.
