Rezerwat Wydymacz

Facts and practical information
Wydymacz - a forest nature reserve located near the village of Antonin, in Przygodzice commune, Ostrow county, Greater Poland province, about 10 km south of Ostrów Wielkopolski. Administratively it belongs to Antonin Forest Inspectorate. The area of the reserve is under active protection.
Established in 1987, covers the area of 47.86 ha with the Wydymacz pond. The object of protection is the ash and alder forest complex, stands of protected plants and monumental trees.
Strict protection: common cornflower, ivy
Partial protection: common columbine, lily of the valley, buckthorn, black currant
The whole reserve is located in the Barycz Valley Landscape Park. From the west, the reserve borders with the Protected Landscape Area of the Ostrzeszów Hills and Odolanów Valley.
In the reserve you can find many exotic plants introduced there by the owner of Antoni Radziwiłł. In the ornithological valorization of reserves of Greater Poland Voivodeship Wydymacz took second place.
A nature-didactic path and bicycle roads, including a trail from Ostrów to Antonin, run through the reserve.
