St. John the Baptist Church - a temple built between 1652-1654 as a church of the Czech Brethren. Two years after its construction it was destroyed by fire. During the fire, the corpse of General Krzysztof Arciszewski located in the church was burnt. The rebuilt church burned down again in 1707 and after 1716 it served both German and Polish communities. In 1945 the church was taken over by St. Nicholas parish. Until 1948 the services were used by soldiers from Leszno military garrison. After a comprehensive renovation, continued in 1972, the parish of St. John the Baptist was established.
The style of architecture refers to the late Gothic, the interior and the sepulchral chapel funded by Wojciech Gruszczyński, dating from 1711, designed by Pompeo Ferrari, are stylistically Baroque.
The church's distinctive features include a 60-meter church tower topped with a balustrade. The ornate four brass clock faces were cast in 1976; the polychrome pulpit from the middle of the 18th century; the 18th century epitaphs of the children of Karl Gotfried Woide; the sundial from 1653 on the buttress on the south side.
