Schronisko Łabowiec
Facts and practical information
PTTK Hostel on Hala Łabowska - a tourist hostel located in the Beskid Sądecki, in the central part of the Jaworzyna range, at an altitude of 1061 m.
The history of the shelter began in 1953 when on the vast Łabowska Hall the Nowy Sącz branch of the Polish Tourist Country-Lovers' Association built a tourist shelter consisting of a room and a kitchen. A few years later the object was extended by adding two rooms - the shelter could accommodate 40 people. In the years 1973-1980 another extension was carried out and the building gained its present appearance of a hostel. In 1995 the hostel was named after Władysław Stendera.
Currently, the hostel is an object of qualified tourism. It is surrounded by the Poprad Landscape Park and there are three nature reserves nearby. Next to the hostel there are information boards for tourists and a spring with water.
The hostel is not connected to the power grid and electricity is available only during the working hours of the generator. You should take this into account when planning accommodation there and provide additional sources of energy.
