Karczówka Nature Reserve - a landscape reserve within the city of Kielce, Świętokrzyskie Province. It lies within the Chęcińsko-Kielecki Landscape Park.
Area: 26.37 ha, Year of establishment: 1933, again 1953, Establishment document: Ord. ML of 27.04.1953; MP. A-42/1953, item 514, WKP evidential number: 004, Nature of the reserve: partial, Goal of protection: a fragment of pine forest, forming a valuable landscape surrounding a historic monastery from the 17th century and a monument of insurgents from 1863.
In 1933, the Directorate of State Forests recognized Karczówka as a nature reserve, which by then was already within the city limits. In 1953 the reserve was created again.
The reserve includes Karczówka hill, built mainly of middle and upper Devonian limestone, which contains lead ores, once mined here in a spar system.
Many species of protected plants grow in the reserve, among others: lily of the valley, wood anemone, European meadow pipercum, and primrose.
The reserve is under active protection.
The yellow walking trail around Kielce goes along the edge of the reserve.
