Monument to the Deportees of Siberia in Wrocław - monument designed by artist-sculptor Jarosław Perszko in close artistic collaboration with architect engineer Czesław Bielecki, erected in Wrocław in the Sybiraków Square next to Strzelecki Square. The silhouette of the 12 meter high monument depicts the Latin Cross piercing a wall.
The monument was consecrated on 20 September 2000 by Cardinal Henryk Gulbinowicz, Archbishop of Wroclaw, assisted by Bishop Tadeusz Rybak, Ordinary of Legnica.
Two cornerstones, consecrated by Pope John Paul II in 1997, were placed in the mensa of the field altar in front of the monument.
Next to the monument there are two quadrilateral blocks of black granite with an inscription: This monument was erected by Siberians and CompatriotsTo the memory of all deportees and victimsTo the warning of future generationsGrateful to God for their rescue and returnFrom the inhuman land - the Soviet hellWrocław September 2000.
