Museum of the Polish Post in Gdansk - a museum in Gdansk dedicated to the Polish Post in the Free City of Gdansk, functioning between 1920 and 1939. Particularly valuable are its documents and exhibits related to the defense of the Polish Postal and Telegraph Office No. 1 in Gdansk on September 1, 1939. The museum cultivates the memory of the defenders of the Polish Post and their families, as well as bringing closer the patriotic and social activities of the Poles of the Free City of Gdansk.
The museum, established in 1979, until 2003 was a branch of the Museum of Post and Telecommunications in Wroclaw, and now is one of the branches of the Gdansk Museum. It is, like the Westerplatte and the World War II Museum, an important place for those interested in the beginning of World War II.
