Tapada das Necessidades is a walled green space with 10 ha, which formerly served as a tapada, with public access subject to a timetable, almost entirely covered by a forest and subject to the Forestry Regime, and which is located in Lisbon at the back of the Palácio das Necessidades, being bounded to the south by this Palace, to the east by the Instituto de Defesa Nacional and Calçada das Necessidades, to the north/northwest by Rua do Borja and to the west by Rua Cap. Afonso Pala.
