Fluviário de Mora

The Mora Fluviarium is a public aquarium dedicated to freshwater ecosystems, focusing on the knowledge and importance of its biodiversity, and its relationship with humanity. It is located in the Parque Ecológico do Gameiro, parish of Cabeção, municipality of Mora.

Consisting of a set of aquariums and surrounding spaces, Mora Fluviarium allows the observation of different species of fauna and flora that occur in rivers and lakes. The exhibition galleries of Mora Fluviarium are organized by biotopes. Through the exhibition of habitats of the course of a river - paradigm of an Iberian river - from its spring to its mouth, and the sea, it is possible to get to know several species of the rivers of Portugal, among them, some Iberian endemisms. In the exotic habitats gallery, it is possible to get to know species from the Amazon river basin, the African Great Lakes of the Rift Valley, among others.
