Meia Praia Fort, originally known as São Roque Fort or Meia Praya Fort, is a military monument located in the Meia Praia area in the municipality of Lagos, Portugal. Built in the 17th century to defend the bay of Lagos, it was badly damaged in the 1755 earthquake and rebuilt at the end of that century. Later it ceased to have military functions, and was used as a post for the Fiscal Guard.
