Facts About Qatar Motor Show
The Qatar Motor Show is an unmissable annual event for car enthusiasts, held every January in Doha, Qatar, at the Doha Exhibition Center. Since its debut in 2011, the show has seen remarkable growth. The inaugural event attracted 90,000 visitors, and by 2012, attendance had surged to 120,000, drawing attendees from across the Persian Gulf region.
This event is a paradise for car lovers, featuring everything from the latest car models to breathtaking supercars, visionary concept cars, and unique custom designs. It goes beyond static displays—attendees can experience outdoor activities such as motocross and drifting demonstrations, and even get behind the wheel for test drives.
The 2013 edition of the show, held from January 29 to February 2, was particularly noteworthy. It introduced six new brands and celebrated significant milestones. A standout moment was the centennial celebration of Bertone. Another highlight was the unveiling of the Lykan Hypersport, the first hypercar designed by an Arab company, W Motors. Other striking cars featured included the Audi R8 V10 Plus and the Brabus Widestar 800.
The 2012 show was equally impressive, showcasing extraordinary vehicles like the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Roadster "Middle East Edition" the newly facelifted Ford Focus, the I.DE.A Futura, and the UP Design Vittoria Concept. The inaugural 2011 show had its share of stars as well, including the Autostudi C-Sport Qatar Concept, the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4 Bicolore, and the Volkswagen XL1 Concept.
