Rostov Regional Museum of Local History is a museum in the city of Rostov-on-Don. One of the largest in the south of Russia. It was founded in 1937 in connection with the formation of the Rostov region. The museum presents the nature, culture and history of the Rostov region. The most interesting exposition is represented in the hall "The Treasures of the Don Barrows" - 2000 objects of gold and silver of the IV century BC - VIII century AD.
Rostov Museum of Local Lore - a leading research center for the development of the history, ethnography, material culture of the Don, scientific and methodological center on the problems of implementation of the regional component in the general educational process.
