"Trinity" is a sculptural composition in Yaroslavl. It is located in the historical center of the city, in the upper tier of the park at the Strelka. Sculptor - Igor Treivus, artist - N. Mukhin, architect - A. Bobovich.
"The Trinity" is an attempt, on the one hand, to sculpture the great work of Andrei Rublev and, on the other hand, to find a modern artistic solution. This is Russia's only sculptural depiction of the Old Testament Holy Trinity.
The monument was unveiled with the blessing of Patriarch Alexy II, and then Archbishop Micah consecrated the sculpture. The sculptural composition "Trinity" was installed in honor of the millennium of the spread of Christianity in Russia next to the foundations of the Cathedral of the Assumption, which was destroyed in the 1930s.
The sculpture "Trinity" became one of the symbols of the city of Yaroslavl and served as the beginning of the construction of the new Assumption Cathedral, which was built and consecrated in 2010 to the millennium of the city of Yaroslavl.
