The Russian Museum of Photography in Nizhny Novgorod is a municipal cultural institution of Nizhny Novgorod. The museum has an extensive collection of photographic equipment, photographic literature, photographs of the XIX-XX centuries. On the basis of the Russian Museum of Photography such significant photo events of Russian and international scale as "Volga Biennale", festival "Svetopis", as well as the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Festival of Photography are held. In 2007-2010 the annual Russian Photographic Youth Festival was held here.
