The M. S. Tuganov Art Museum is a state gallery of Russian and Ossetian fine art in Vladikavkaz. It was founded in 1939.
The museum building, which housed the Merchant B. G. Oganov's Trading House before the October Revolution, was built in 1903 by the architect I. V. Ryabikin. It is a unique monument of Russian Art Nouveau, and is a monument of cultural heritage of the Russian Federation.
The museum's collection includes works by such great masters as Fyodor Rokotov, Orest Kiprensky, Karl Bryullov, Ilya Repin, Vasily Vereshchagin, Isaac Levitan, Ivan Kramskoi, Ivan Aivazovsky, Ivan Shishkin, Konstantin Makovsky, Konstantin Korovin, Igor Grabar, Pavel Korin, Sergey Gerasimov, Martiros Saryan, Vladimir Favorsky, Costa Khetagurov, Maharbek Tuganov, Azanbek Janayev and others.
The museum holds the famous painting "The Turkey" by Mikhail Larionov.
