Facts and practical information

The Memorial to the Fallen in the Great Patriotic War is a memorial complex in the Park of Memory in the Urvanskiy Forest of Novomoskovsk, Tula Oblast, dedicated to Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War in the battles for the city. In November - December 1941, units of the Red Army defended and then after 17 days of occupation, liberated the city from the German forces. The memorial was opened in 1981 on the place of the mass grave.
