Fort No. 2 Bronzart - a fort covering the highway Königsberg-Tilsit. It was laid in 1875 and completed in 1879. It was named after General Paul Bronzart von Schellendorf.
It was modernized in the 1890s. The number of garrison was up to 250 people. Construction cost about 3 million marks in prices of the year of construction.
It was not exposed to massive fire of the Soviet troops and is quite well preserved. In 1995-1996 the fort was used as a vegetable storehouse for an artillery regiment, and one of the premises also housed a ZKP.
Currently under private ownership. Closed to the public. Partial restoration work has been done by the owners, in which the drainage system has not been completed, wiring has been done, and the joints have been partially restored.
