Museum of the Great Patriotic War, Moscow

The Museum of the Great Patriotic War, located in the heart of Moscow, Russia, stands as a solemn reminder of the country's sacrifices and heroism during World War II, known in Russia as the Great Patriotic War. This extensive museum, situated within the Victory Park at Poklonnaya Hill, was inaugurated in 1995 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the war's end.

As a poignant tribute to the millions of lives lost and affected by the conflict, the museum spans an area of over 140,000 square meters and is adorned with memorable architecture and exhibits. The museum's collection includes a vast array of wartime artifacts, personal belongings, weapons, and uniforms. One of the museum's most striking features is the Hall of Glory, a white marble room which contains the names of over 11,800 recipients of the Hero of the Soviet Union distinction.
