Domodedovo cemetery is one of the Moscow cemeteries. It has been open for burials since December 1, 1987.
It is located in the south of Moscow region, in Domodedovo city district, and occupies an area of about 127 hectares. It is under the economic management of the State Budgetary Institution "Ritual".
It takes its name from the city of the same name, near which it is located. Domodedovo cemetery is one of the largest cemeteries, which are part of the State Budgetary Institution "Ritual". Until 2007 it was open for new burials. In 2006 there was built on its territory military memorial necropolis, where the burial of the dead veterans of the Great Patriotic War, soldiers of the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who died in the performance of their duties. The necropolis was opened on the 60th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In 1992 Vladyka Juvenaly, Metropolitan of Krutitsy and Kolomna, gave his blessing for the spiritual guidance of the Moscow Domodedovo cemetery. At the cemetery operated temple in honor of the Icon of the Sorrowful Mother of God, whose construction was begun in 1995, and the temple in honor of the icon of the martyr UAR Egemen. On the new territory of the cemetery was built memorial chapel in honor of the icon of Kazan Mother of God.
Since 2009 there is a regular bus route through the cemetery.
There are plans to expand the cemetery by 61 hectares.
