The F.A. Kovalenko Krasnodar Regional Art Museum is one of the oldest art museums in the North Caucasus.

The museum's collection includes about 13,000 works of painting, graphics, sculpture and decorative and applied art. The collection of Russian art is represented from the main schools of icon-painting: Novgorod, Moscow, Northern to the most daring creative quests of the 20-30s of the 20th century, united by the common name of "avant-garde".

Particularly valuable areas of the museum's collection are Russian avant-garde, Japanese color woodblock prints, Dutch art of the 16th century, Russian and Soviet painting, as well as ex-libris.

Currently, the museum's exhibition areas are complemented by a virtual space using touch panels and an interactive book "Chronicle of Museum Life. Pages of History."
