Nový vrch, Tatra National Park
Facts and practical information
Nowy Wierch - a limestone peak with a height of 2009 m in the western part of the Bielsko Tatras in Slovakia. It raises a new valley from the northeast, the Havrania Valley from the northwest and the Stefanowa Valley from the south.
Nowy Wierch rises within the Main Gold of the Bielsko Tatra Mountains between Muranie, 1890 m and Hawran, 2152 m. It has three vertices, among which the lowest, southern one is in the main ridge. This tip is a keystone. Two higher are in the side ridge that branches from him to the north. The difference in height between the tops is 1-2 m, and they are 10-15 m away from each other. The highest northern vertex is at the same time the edge point of the rocky ridge of the Zdziarski chimneys, separating the new valley from the Hawraniej valley.
He is separated from Murania with a new pass, and from Hawrania - Hawania Pass. In the middle of the length of the ridge falling towards Hawraniej Przełęcz there is a sharp indented switch - Nowy Karb. The upper part of this ridge is rocky, lower - grassy. Nowy Wierch falls to Zadni Stefanowy Głilebu Nowy Wierch by a 60-meter wall, under which a new UPPHAZ is located, limited from below with new rows. The new uptake is cutting shallow, grassy gleams, connecting below into the Stefani Żleb.
Nowy Wierch was visited initially by shepherds and poachers, later tourists were there, including Ludwik Chałubiński in 1880. The first well -known winter entrance was made by Adam Karpiński and Zofia and Tadeusz Bernadzikiewicz in 1937. There were several caves near the summit, in which the remains of animals living during the last glaciation were discovered. Today, numerous pomultures live in this region, and the slopes are largely overwhelmed by the primary forest. The name comes from new pastures.
Nowy Wierch was visited and is very rare. Currently, his entire massif is located on the area of strict protection of the Tatra National Park closed to tourists and mountaineers.
