Fabova hoľa, Muranska planina
Facts and practical information
Fabova Hoľa - the highest peak of the Fabowa Hala group, and at the same time all Slovak Weporski Rudaw. In the Slovak physico-geographical division, there is a Planina Planina plateau belonging to the Gentrifle Kras.
He creates a vast mountain massif, rising in the main ridge of the Slovak Rudawa chain, in a water -shaped back, limiting the Hron Valley from the south. Strictly in the back is the southern pre -tip of the mountain, called tri mounds. Approx. 500 m northwest of him is the main top of the mountain. Less than a kilometer further in the same direction is the Fabowa Hala Pass, behind which the ridge of the massif turns towards the west. Two more hills are distinguished in his quite equal line - Javorinka and Psica.
The name "Fabowa Hala" probably has its roots in the 17th or 18th century. When the massif was actually the area of sheep grazing. Until the first years of the 21st century, the top of the mountain was completely overgrown with prosperous spruces, and small glades were only on its northern slopes, just below the Fabowa Hala Pass. Hence, an interesting north view opens, on the chain of the Low Tatras and the tops of the High Tatras emerging from behind them. Currently, a significant part of the southern slopes of the mountain includes great felling.
The entire massif of the factory hall is located within the Muránska Planina National Park. Power area of the factory hall includes the Fabova Hoľa nature reserve. In the Kučelach massif is Čertova Jaskyňa - a natural monument.
