Climate of Solomon Islands
The Solomon Islands archipelago is located in a hot and humid equatorial climate zone, cooled by sea breezes and shaped by monsoons and stripes. The average annual air temperature remains between 25°C and 30°C during the day, while at night it oscillates between 19°C and 22°C. In mountainous areas, thermal values are slightly lower - around 20°C.
Rainfall occurs throughout the year in the form of intense but short-lived downpours. Average annual precipitation ranges from 2,000 mm to 3,000 mm. From November to March, as a result of the monsoon blowing in the northwestern part of the islands, the rains intensify, it is then hot and steamy, violent thunderstorms are a common occurrence.
