Korea International Circuit

The Korea International Circuit, located in Yeongam, South Korea, stands as a testament to the country's embrace of international motorsport. Completed in 2010, this state-of-the-art facility was designed by the renowned German architect Hermann Tilke, who is well-known for his work on Formula One racetracks around the world. The circuit was specifically constructed to host the Korean Grand Prix, marking South Korea's ambitious entry into the Formula One calendar.

Sprawling over 5.62 kilometers and featuring 18 turns, the Korea International Circuit is a blend of high-speed straights and technical corners, offering a challenging drive for racers and an exhilarating experience for spectators. It has a unique layout, which was planned to serve both the needs of a Grand Prix and local tourism. The track can be split into two independent circuits - the 3.045 km Permanent Circuit and the 2.575 km International Circuit.

The venue is not only a sport complex but also a cultural hub, with facilities intended to host various events, including concerts and conventions. The grandstand capacity can accommodate tens of thousands of fans, providing them with a clear view of the high-speed action on track.
