The church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción is a Catholic church located in the Spanish town of Fermoselle, belonging to the province of Zamora, in the autonomous community of Castile and León.
It was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest with the category of monument on 26 September 2013. Its origin dates back to the 13th century when it was built in Romanesque style. However, over the years it has undergone numerous transformations, preserving elements and characteristics of each historical moment. The southern and western façades stand out, in a transitional style from Romanesque to Gothic with interesting sculptural decoration; the atrium, open on the southern side from the 16th century and the tower. Its interior also bears witness to the various stages of construction, from the alteration in the sixteenth century of its original plan, to its final configuration in the eighteenth century, with the construction of the vaulted roofs and the dome of oval base on pendentives of the transept.
