Castrelos Park, also known as Finca de la Marquesa or Parque Municipal Quiñones de León, is a large park located in Vigo. The park occupies a total area of 24.3 hectares, where are, the Pazo de Castrelos and its historic gardens, a wide variety of green spaces, an auditorium, wooded areas and so on. All fully harmonized as an urban park, it has a great landscape and botanical value, which is why it was declared a Historical Garden and an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1955. Nowadays, it is the largest park in the city, a rest area and a real green lung of the big city.
The pazo that currently houses the Quiñones de León museum represents the baroque splendour of palatial architecture. It was built in the second half of the 17th century and is currently one of the best examples of Galician palatial architecture.
