The Viera y Clavijo Cultural Park in Santa Cruz de Tenerife was built in 1903, and is located in the old part of the city, on Avenida de las Asuncionistas. It can hold 3,500 people and its main use is for leisure activities, shows and popular festivals.
It is named after the famous botanist José Viera y Clavijo. Architecturally, its neo-Gothic church, which resembles a cathedral or basilica, stands out.
The park is part of a cultural complex that is made up of buildings such as the Pérez Minik Theatre and is part of a cultural complex that is completed with the College of the Assumption. You can also find in it abundant wooded areas even with native vegetation, a children's playground and a sculpture by Joan Miró, called Femme Bouteille.
