The Museum of Fine Arts of Castellón, located in the city of Castellón de la Plana, is a building designed by Mansilla + Tuñón Arquitectos, which has been recognized in numerous national architecture awards, such as the 2001 FAD Architecture Award, the 2001 Excellent Work Award granted by Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, and the 1999-2000 Architecture Award of the COACV. He has also been a finalist in 2001 for the Mies van der Rohe Prize for Contemporary Architecture of the European Union, and in the same year a finalist in the III Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism.
