It is bordered to the north by the Sierra Helada and to the south by Punta Canfali. It has a length of 2,084 m, with an average altitude of 110 m.

Being a very well endowed beach, it presents a very annoying inconvenience for the bathers: When they try to walk out to sea from the beach, they have to cross against the waves a wide stony strip, not very practicable, with which it is easy to stumble and slip, falling and hitting against the rocks at the bottom.
