Mediajo Frío, Mediaju Fríu, Midiajo Frío, Midiaju Fríu or Miyaju Altu is a mountain located on the border between the Cantabrian municipalities of San Miguel de Aguayo, Campoo de Yuso and Luena, on the divide between the Pas, Besaya and Campoo valleys. It is the highest point of the Sierra del Escudo. In the most prominent part of the hill there is a geodesic vertex that marks an altitude of 1328 metres above sea level from the base of the pillar. You can get here from Lanchares, through a track, which takes about an hour and a half. It can also be reached from Bárcena de Pie de Concha to the reservoir of Alsa, through a road, and from there to the top, on foot.
