Montplà is a 310-metre-high mountain located in the Montgrí Massif, within the municipality of Torroella de Montgrí, in the Baix Empordà region. It is the highest mountain in the Montgrí Massif, but the Montgrí Castle is higher. The access to it is made through the paths located in the east and west. To the east of the mountain are the continental dunes of Torroella. To the west, once you have crossed the summit, you will find the Montgrí.
