The castle of Cañete la Real, also called castle of Hins-Canit and Hisn Qannit, is located in the urban core of the municipality of Cañete la Real, in the province of Málaga,. It rises on a hill located to the southwest of the town at about 801 metres above sea level. From the castle you can observe a wide view of the village and the region. It is currently undergoing a long process of restoration. Entrance to the castle is free.
