Luaña or Cóbreces beach is located in the municipality of Alfoz de Lloredo, in Cantabria, although it can also be accessed from its west bank, descending from the town of Trasierra belonging to the municipality of Ruiloba.

After the reform of its environment that took place in 2008 it is losing an increasing volume of its sand which is exposing stones and rocks. It has been awarded repeatedly with the blue flag, but it has lost this award at least since 2007.
