Palacio del Cid

Sotopalacios is a town located in the province of Burgos, autonomous community of Castile and León, comarca of Alfoz de Burgos, in the municipality of Merindad de Río Ubierna, of which it is the capital.

The road to Santander, N-623, crosses the Barriosuso or Barriuso neighbourhood, to the south of the town, where the town's service area is located. To the north is the neighbourhood of Acorro, where the traditional quarter is located.
