Facts and practical information
The church-basilica of San Lorenzo is a Baroque temple in the city of Huesca built between 1608 and 1703. It was built on an ancient Romanesque temple, which was later expanded in the fourteenth century in Gothic style during the reign of James II of Aragon. It is located in the Plaza de San Lorenzo, in what was once the Moorish or aljama quarter of the city, outside the city walls. It is dedicated to the patron saint of the city, since, according to tradition, it was here where his parents lived.
