The Teatro Calderón de la Barca or simply Teatro Calderón is a theatre in the Spanish city of Motril, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 2005. Since its inauguration in October 1881, it has played an important role in the local culture, hosting performances of the best national companies and being the scene of the most important cultural events in the city. It is also the culmination of a theatrical tradition in Motril that dates back to 1634 when the Real Casa de Comedias was built and in 1639 received a royal privilege from the hands of Felipe IV.
