Palacio de Valdés-Bazán
Facts and practical information
The Palace of Valdés-Bazán or of the Cuervo-Arango family, or of the Counts of Reparaz, is a rural noble residence, in the classicist style, located in the Asturian parish of San Román de Candamo.
The original building dates back to the 16th century, although it underwent two important alterations in the 17th and 18th centuries, to which it owes its present-day appearance.
For more than four centuries, until well into the twentieth century, the house was passed down through the descendants of its founders, succeeding the lineages of Cuervo Arango, Quirós, Valdés, Ríos, Armada and Melgarejo. At the end of the last century, it became municipal property.
