A fortified castle in Batres-former residence of the poet Garcilaso de la Vega, who was born in Toledo in 1501. This is one of the most valuable and original castles in the region of Madrid, in the city of Batres, which is located in the southwestern part of the region, and It borders on Toledo nad Guadaramma, a river that is a great natural wealth.
This building is embedded on the foundation of flint and built of burned brick. The old part of the castle is the Torre Del Homeenaje tower, which stands out among the rest of the building due to the proportion, harmony and forward.
The whole is on a quadrangle set, with a delicate architecture with a somewhat military character. The main gate of the castle is in Izabelian Gothic, it is distinguished by the elaborate coat of arms of the Lasos y Guzanes family. The patio has a double gallery in the plateresk style with Toledan columns of the Alcaria type, with a Gothic well in the center, which shows the remains of its earlier structure.
