Facts and practical information

The church of Santa María is a Catholic parish church located in the Spanish town of Ariza, in the province of Zaragoza. It is attached to the archpriesthood of Alto Jalón of the diocese of Tarazona.

The temple of the 16th century is built entirely in ashlar, except for the four-storey tower. The interior is divided into three naves of the same height, the one in the centre being wider than the ones on the sides in the style of the Cathedral of the Saviour in Zaragoza. All the naves are covered with star-shaped ribbed vaulting. It has an interesting 18th century altarpiece and an image of Christ of the Agony.
