Facts and practical information

Cabeza Líjar or Cabeza Lijar is a mountain in the Sierra de Guadarrama in the Central system, a chain that runs from east to west through the center of the Iberian Peninsula. It is located between the Spanish provinces of Avila, Madrid and Segovia. It has an altitude of 1822.80 meters above sea level.

Its location means that the eastern half of Cabeza Líjar is within the Community of Madrid, the northwest quarter in the province of Segovia and the southwest quarter in the province of Avila. Its summit is crowned by a bunker of the Spanish civil war reconverted in refuge and viewpoint; next to it is located a geodesic vertex of first order.
