When Is the Best Time To Visit Suriname?

Climate of Suriname
Suriname lies in the humid equatorial climate zone. It is characterized by high air temperatures, high humidity and abundant rainfall occurring throughout the year.
Temperatures are relatively constant, with no large diurnal or regional fluctuations, with thermometers indicating around 25°C - 30°C.
Rainfall is more variable. Precipitation on the coast is slightly lower at close to 2,000 mm, while inland and in the south it intensifies and reaches 3,000 mm per year. We can distinguish two periods of increased precipitation: from May to July (zenithal rains) and from December to January, when the humid northeastern trade winds blow. The driest months include February to April and August to November.
