Visingsborg was a county and castle on the eastern shore of Visingsö, associated with the Brahe dynasty. The castle began construction in the 1570s. It was abandoned in 1680, after the county was withdrawn to the crown. From 1715, Visingsborg was used as a camp for mainly Russian prisoners of war, until the castle was destroyed in a fire at the end of 1718. The ruins are located in Visingsö parish in Jönköping municipality.
