Kristianstad Railway Museum is part of the Regional Museum in Kristianstad.
The museum was opened on 19 May 1979 and has been open from May to September ever since. In September, the museum organises an open house together with the Östra Skånes Järnvägar Museum Association, during which a variety of historical technological applications are shown, mainly in the transport sector and then railways.
The Railway Museum is located at Kristianstad South station area and uses the railway yard for setting up museum vehicles.
The museum has mostly exhibitions in the form of locomotives and wagons set up both in the museum hall and out in the railway yard area at Kristianstad Södra. In the yard there is a turntable and a coal crane together with a water horse and an ash pit.
In the yard there is a 600 mm track used for transporting coal to the coal crane next to the turntable, but which is also used for running a small passenger train consisting of a bogie car and a small steam locomotive, ChoAB 1.
In the southern part of the museum area there is also narrow gauge equipment with a gauge of 1067 mm, Sweden's only preserved gauge from the Blekinge railways.
