Bergs Klätt naturreservat, Arvika

Bergs klätt is a nature reserve in Arvika municipality in Värmland.
The nature reserve was set aside in 1976 and is 110 hectares in size. It is located between Jössefors and Sulvik, 10 km west of Arvika. The area is the southern part of a large headland in the northern part of Glafsfjorden. There is agricultural land with remnants of former settlements and farming. There are also forests and hills with steep slopes. From the highest point of the cliff, 45 metres above the surface of Glafsfjorden, there is a sweeping view over the water.
Bell gentian, water violet, curly-leaved iris, leafy bindweed and water lily grow within the reserve's boundaries.
The Bergs klätt has a rich bird fauna. There you can see horned owls, kestrels, green warblers, nuthatches and warblers.
There are several ancient monuments in the reserve area. These consist of a stone-age cairn, as well as cairns and a Bronze Age cairn field. The cairns are located in several small groups on the crest of the cliff and on ledges on the slope down to the water.
The area is part of the EU's ecological network of protected areas, Natura 2000.
