Facts and practical information
Eddaspången is a pedestrian and bicycle bridge in Uppsala over the Fyris River between Fyrisgatan and Svartbäcksgatan, in the extension of Odensgatan. The bridge was built by Bergsund Mechanical Workshop in Stockholm and was constructed in 1889 where the current Haglund's Bridge is located. Following a donation from August Haglund, the city was able to build a larger bridge on the site and Eddaspången was moved about 200 metres upstream to its present location where it replaced a ferry link. The bridge is named after the adjacent Edda block.
