Änggårdsbergen, Gothenburg

Änggårdsbergen is a large forest area in Fässberg parish in Mölndal municipality and Örgryte and Västra Frölunda parishes in Gothenburg municipality in Västergötland. Most of it is classified as a nature reserve since October 1975. The reserve covers some 300 hectares, of which the municipalities of Gothenburg and Mölndal together own 220 hectares. Of the area, 4 400 square metres were originally reserved for the Sahlgrenska extension. In 2016, the reserve was extended towards the Högsbo industrial area to include the formerly independent Högsbo pegmatite quarry nature reserve.
