Facts and practical information
This monument was erected during the Japanese rule to commemorate Prince Fushimiya's disembarkation of the Japanese army's 4th Brigade from Bupouzou during the Yiwei War and the fierce battle with the local militia. After World War II, the monument was knocked down and used as a foundation for a house. It was dug up on January 5, 2002 and then declared a historical building by the Chiayi County Government on January 9, 2008 in accordance with the Cultural Assets Preservation Act and is considered national property.
