ZhuXi Temple, Tainan

Located in the southern district of Tainan City, Taiwan, Jhuci Temple is one of the seven temples and eight temples in Taiwan's capital city, and one of the four ancient temples in Tainan. The temple belongs to the Rinzai sect of Zen Buddhism, and the main hall is dedicated to the three precious Buddhas, Shakyamuni Buddha, Medicine Buddha and Amitabha Buddha. The temple is located near the Bamboo Stream, which was formerly known as the Barrel of Panshu. In the temple, there is a plaque called "The World of Enlightenment", which is one of the three most famous plaques in Southern Taiwan. After the Xilaian incident during the Japanese rule, the temple was demolished, but the statue of the God of Five Blessings was brought to the temple by monks.
