Wat Pho, Bangkok

Wat Pho, also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha, is one of Bangkok's most revered cultural landmarks. Nestled in the historic district of the city, close to the Grand Palace, this Buddhist temple complex is famous for its gigantic reclining Buddha statue and its role as a center of traditional Thai massage and medicine.

The temple's highlight is the 46-meter-long and 15-meter-high golden reclining Buddha, with intricately designed mother-of-pearl inlays adorning its feet. It is considered the birthplace of traditional Thai massage, and the temple still operates a school offering courses and treatments to the public.
