Botanical garden of the Lvov Forestry Engineering Institute, Lviv

Botanical Garden of the National Forestry University of Ukraine - Botanical Garden and Arboretum in Lviv, at Generała Czuprynki 103 Street, in the Nowy Świat District, in the Frankowski region.

The surroundings of the National Forestry University of Ukraine occupies an area of ​​22.7 ha, the botanical garden is an area of ​​10.8 ha. It was founded in 1954 after the purpose of the former Basilian monastery headquarters to the Institute of Forest Technology, which was then connected to the Agronomic Institute.

The garden has flowerbeds, scientific and research sow and a small forest school. In addition to the nature significance, it performs a didactic and scientific function, allows students to observe and perform greenery and stand maintenance treatments, conduct exercises in acclimatization and introduction of rare, valuable or endangered plant species into the culture of sowing. It is estimated that about 200 species of trees and shrubs were introduced in the arboretum. Because the botanical garden directly adheres to the university and the university town it created, there are campus buildings here, among others Three academic buildings, wood museum, library, outpatient clinic, sports hall, canteen, cafe and dormitory.

The garden is also risen by the arboretum founded in 1874 surrounded by the Ecology Department, it has an area of ​​0.81 ha and is located at Olgi Kobylańska Street.

The National Forest University of Ukraine also has an arboretum with an area of ​​5.7 ha, which is located northwest of the village of Stradcz.

On February 22, 1991, the Lviv arboretum was recognized by a decree of the Council of Ukrainian ministers as a domestic area protected, it is also included in the list of the International Botanical Gardens Society.
